Fully Persuaded

Who against hope believed in hope....[Abraham] staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. (Romans 4: 18-21)

The enemy is always seeking to rob you of God's promises by convincing you that they will never happen. Do not believe it! God's promises never fail.  It can often seem as if they do, but the truth is that if you don't ever receive God's promises, it's because you did not stick out the process to get it. God cannot lie and He cannot change. It's His desire that you should have everything He promised you.  However, you can only access it through your obedience, sacrifice and patience to stay on course and believe that after you have done His will, you shall receive the promise (Heb 10:36).  The question is are you doing what it takes to receive His promise or are you settling for a cheap substitute?

Sometimes it helps to remind ourselves just what God has promised us.  He has promised us all eternal life, but more specifially, He has a promise & a purpose designed specifically and especially just for you. Whatever it is, it is for you and no one else. You are the only person who can receive it, and you are the only person who can reject it.  But it is His desire that you receive it! You must believe that.  You must be fully persuaded that what He has promised you, He is able to do for you.  And if you believe that, then you must stay focused & determined to keep going no matter what.  Don't sell your promise for the "low-low price" of comfort, pleasure or an easier path.  You are not cheap. Your price is far above rubies! You can make it to the promise without compromising, quitting or selling out.  All you have to do is choose to....

In your quiet time of meditation, take a moment to write down God's promises to you....and remember...blessed is she that believes for there shall be a performance of those things told her from the Lord (Luke 1:45).
